Watch Variations
Since the watch is 90% Natural made of exotic woods, it may react to temperature, humidity and sunlight changing its color and shape. Our watches may also change its appearance with time. All watches with Tagua nut tend to darken its color due to its aging. Since these reactions are unpredictable we advice you to take good care of it and if anything abnormal happen to it we can always replace it under Mistura's returns policy.
Exotic Woods
All our woods come from the South American tropic. The most used by our designers are: Bamboo, Macana, Coconut skin, Carreto, Guayacan and Nazarene. Each of these exotic woods has a specific technique of preservation and a way of cutting. Woods like Bamboo and Macana must be cut after 5:00 pm and before 5:00 am on moon’s last quarter night making sure that the circulating liquids in the main tree limbs are resting down in the roots. This particular night to cut the wood helps to void cracks in the wood during the drying process that takes exactly 6 months. After this procedure Mistura's ingenious designers start their creations.
